A talk with a twist – The 1912 Boxer Uprising

Actor & writer Mark Kitto and his one-man play ‘Chinese Boxing’ portrays the story of the Chinese Boxer Rebellion of 1900 and highlights relations between China and Britain and the West today – a highly topical subject.
Set in 1912 members are invited to hear an account of the Siege of the Legations in Peking in 1900 presented by Sir Claude MacDonald, former British Minister to Peking, before the evening turns into an entertaining piece of theatre followed by a Q&A session that can get quite lively.
