Arts, Antiques & History Sections Evening

In a second joint event with the Antiques and Collectors section the History section will be hosting a reception in the Smoking Room with a short programme of 5/6 interludes with section members talking on something they would like to share with fellow members. This could be some military artefact they collect or poses, speak briefly on a piece of literature that they feel means something to them and others, or recount the details of a lesser known battle or campaign.

Fellow member and section organiser Joss Bassett will say a few words on some of the portraits and their history in the Smoking Room and two others that will be moved into the room for the evening along with related letters from Downing Street and Monty.

The programme is quite open and intended to encompass as many that might want to be involved and in what way as possible.

The event will start at 7pm and is priced at £22pp and includes wine, sandwiches, and the chance to get to know fellow section members. Dress code for the evening is Lounge suits and members may bring a guest.
