This has brought about using the fly around our own shores. As we are all aware sea fish are inevitably more powerful than freshwater species so the chance to go after Sea Bass in particular on a light fly rod makes for great sport. The question in the past has bee n the organisation of it. I am pleased to say that has been resolved throu gh our good friend Paul Haldenwang of Salty Dog Fishing who runs just the sort of trip we want and have enjoyed for the last few years.\n\nPaul tell s me that:-\n\nLow water. 1.02 \, High water 8.05\nFlowing tide is good\, and we can start off with fishing from the boat then some wading on the sa nd and shingle islands in the harbour in the afternoon.\nAll rods\, reels and lines included and no charge for their use. Equipment is mostly top of the range Orvis.\nHowever chest waders and boots without studs will be re quired\, as this is England and wet wading even in summer is likely to chi ll you and be uncomfortable. You will need to bring your own.\nThree fishe rman can fish off boat at any time\, a combination then of two fly rods\,o ne on bow\,one on the stern and on mid ship with spinning rod.\nHe finds t hat anglers like to alter between the two types of fishing and gives the s houlders and arms some time to rest.\n\nHe can recommend some great local B&\;B and Hotels and there is some self catering accommodation.
