History Section Talk with Professor Tony Pollard
Professor Tony Pollard, one of the foremost archaeologists of the Waterloo battlefield and professor of conflict archaeology and history at the University of Glasgow. Professor Pollard will talk about his work with Waterloo Uncovered and the archaeology of the battlefield.
Co-founder of The Journal of Conflict Archaeology, Professor Pollard writes extensively for academic and popular audiences and is currently a field director and lead academic for Waterloo Uncovered, a project engaging military veterans in the archaeological investigation of the 1815 battlefield. The work of Waterloo Uncovered continues to have a great impact on our understanding of the battle, but a lasting positive impact supporting those veterans it works with.
