SUMMARY:Horse Racing visit to Galloway Stud
DESCRIPTION:The Horse Racing section have arranged for a tour of Galloway S
 tud at Woburn Abbey.\nThe stud was originally known as Bloomsbury Stud whe
 n setup by the Duchess of Bedford\, before being taken over by Stuart and 
 Carmen Thom. Stuart previously ran Lofts Hall Stud where he won the Godolp
 hin Stud Staff award in 2016\, so has a wealth of knowledge and experience
 .\n\nThe setting is absolutely fantastic as it sits in the grounds of Wobu
 rn Abbey\, located next to the deer park. We have been invited for a tour 
 of the stud where Stuart will show us around\, explain the workings of the
  stud and show us the yearlings\, followed by drinks and snacks in the gro
 unds.\n\nPlease note Galloway Stud is smaller than the likes of Juddmonte 
 or Darley so we aren’t going to see the likes of Frankel\, but it is a l
 ovely way to spend a day and Carmen and Stuart will look after us really w
 ell. It will also be a relaxed setting for us all to socialise.\n\nThe cos
 t of the day is £35pp which will cover the costs of drinks and a barbeque
 \, plus a case of club wine for Carmen and Stuart as a thank you for hosti
 ng us\, will be added to house accounts.\n\nDate: Saturday 23rd July\nTime
