Professor Anne Curry speaks on the life of Joan of Arc

Emeritus Professor of Medieval History at Southampton University, Anne’s special interest is in the Hundred Years War, especially the battle of Agincourt, English armies and Joan of Arc.

For those unable to make the talk and dinner, you can see a hologram of Anne at the Joan of Arc Museum in the Archbishop’s palace at Rouen and ask her questions!

Anne was a Vice-President of the Royal Historical Society, President of the Historical Association (2006-9), and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southampton (2010-18). She has been a Trustee of the Royal Armouries and is currently Chair of The Battlefields Trust (battlefieldstrust.com), and Upper Warden of the Worshipful Company of Fletchers (fletchers.org.uk). Professor Curry previously spoke at the club in 2015 at a very popular lecture about the Battle of Agincourt, marking the 600th anniversary of the English victory against the old foe.
