Shooting Sections Summer Shoot
We are pleased to invite you to the Shooting Section’s Summer Shoot – held at Holland & Holland’s pristine shooting ground ( Ducks Hill Rd, Harefield, Northwood HA6 2ST)
on Saturday, June 7th.
Situated in lush countryside just 40 minutes from Central London, with Northwood tube station (Metropolitan line) just a 5-minute taxi ride away, this promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable day for all.
Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or fresh to the sport, this day caters to all skill levels. It’s the perfect chance to sharpen your skills, exchange shooting tips, enjoy some good food and foster new friendships within the section and across the club.
This is a superb chance to shoot en masse with fellow section members and is one of the highlights of our section’s calendar.
The cost is £162pp which includes all cartridges, use of shotguns and refreshments – this represents fantastic value and I’d urge members to sign up swiftly as we only have 40 spaces.
This event is open to Section members and 2 guests max. For club members who aren’t yet part of the Shooting Section they can simply sign up on the website and then also put their names down for this event!
There will also be a friendly competitive element to the day so please specify your shooting ability – beginner, intermediate, pro. There may even be some prizes up for grabs!
Members may bring their own shotguns and certificates but if these are any calibre other than 12 gauge please inform us ahead of time.
Members may also use their own cartridges but this will not be refunded in the cost.

Timings on the day:
• 09.45: Arrive at Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds, for bacon rolls and hot beverages.
• 10:00: Division into teams, safety briefing and outline of the morning’s activities and an introduction to your Holland and Holland instructors.
• 10.15: Shooting commences with instruction & practice on a variety of sporting stands.
• 12.15: Shooting ends.
• 12.15: Optional Pre-lunch bar available followed by a summer BBQ.
• 12.30: Lunch served and scores compiled.
Post lunch: A chance to peruse the gunroom, departure at leisure.
