The Wimbledon Dinner

The tennis section is happy to announce the inaugural running of a club-wide event,
The Wimbledon dinner
On Friday 27 June, the Wimbledon dinner will be held at the club in support of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust, a charity named after Dan Maskell aka ‘the voice of Wimbledon’, which raises funds for those with disabilities to play tennis. The evening will consist of a reception in the Clive Room, followed by a three-course dinner including wine and port in the East India Room.
The face of Sky Sports Tennis and Amazon Prime Tennis, Marcus Buckland (vice-president of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust) will be our honorary host and master of ceremonies for the evening, and he will be joined by two guests of honour. The first, Elaine Paige OBE, affectionately named ‘the first lady of musical theatre’ will discuss her career in show business and her role within the charity, as president of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust. The second, former professional British tennis player Barry Cowan, will preview the next Wimbledon championships, and reflect on his own career, including a memorable five-set battle with Pete Sampras at Wimbledon.
The evening will be full of tennis-related fun and games, culminating in an auction with some incredible lots on offer, including the chance to play tennis with British tennis legend Andrew Castle at the All England Club, high-tea at the Queen’s Club, the opportunity to play a round of golf with guest of honour Barry Cowan followed by lunch at the All England Club, VIP sporting hospitality packages, and exclusive tennis and show business memorabilia.
The evening begins at 6.30pm with a cash bar in the Clive Room and dinner from 7.30pm in the East India Room.
Tickets are priced at £95pp and include a three-course dinner with wine and port, followed by coffee and mints.
Members may book up to three guests.
The dress code is lounge suits.
