Wine-tasting – pinot noir peregrination

Our next wine-tasting will be on Tuesday 1 July and will be based around the pinot noir grape.

Members and their guests can explore the many expressions of pinot noir around the world. The journey promises to be delicious.

Pinot noir is that very delicate and hard-to-grow grape that yields the very sought-after red wines of Burgundy. Those wines are beautiful, yet that finesse comes at a price. They have become so out of reach that many regions in the world have tried to emulate the style. If they have been successful in producing interesting signature styles, they often failed to bring the prices down. Pinot noir is also a very versatile grape that sometimes comes in surprising disguises, notably as one of the major components in Champagne blends.

Members may bring up to three guests.

Dress code is lounge suits.
