DESCRIPTION:\nThe Young members committee are pleased to welcome guest spea
 ker\n\nSteve Pateman\nthe inspiration for the movie and Westend show Kinky
  Boots\n\nto the young members dinner on Tuesday 16 April.\nAs a young man
  at Wellingborough school Steve was a keen rugby player\, but the moment h
 e finished aged 17 he followed in the family footsteps and joined the 4th 
 generation shoe factory.\nOver the next 14 years he learned everything abo
 ut the industry and rose to managing director\, but in 1993 demand began t
 o slip and Steve did whatever it took to save the family’s shoe business
  and the jobs of his 70 staff.\nAlong the path he had to learn to walk in 
 high heels\, shave his legs and created the Kinky Boot Factory which featu
 red on the BBC 2 documentary "Trouble at the top" and inspired Hollywood\,
  Broadway and the Westend to tell his story.\nThis is a chance for the clu
 b's young members to gather together for a great value three course dinner
  with wine.\nMembers and up to 3 prospective (gentlemen) member guests age
